T for Tuesday with my son

Hello to Elizabeth and all my blogger friends here at T stands for Tuesday. This is my last post of this month. One more month of holidays for the children here and in September we can get back to our old routine.

This is how my dining table looks in the early mornings-:)  I dream of having a small creative room of my own. Sometimes it gets so frustrating to clean everything each time my free time gets over. Anyways I'm sure one day I will get my own little place to create art.In my big mug I'm having my usual morning cup of coffee.

For today I wanted to share with you all some of the art that my 7 year old son has done. He loves nature and reads and finds out everything that he can about it, particularly about falcons (the peregrine falcon), alligators, and many other raptors. We go to our library and he takes atlases on the wild animals and birds. Below are some of his sketches that he drew after referring the atlas and encyclopedias.

This is one of my favorites. His eye for details enthralls me. I was so amazed to see how realistically he has even tried the reflections in the pond here.

One of his colored sketches. He prefers to do pencil drawings but once in a while takes his coloring supplies and adds some color to his drawings.

Yet another favorite one of mine The Taj mahal.

A page from his sketchbook on different kinds of birds.

We are so proud of this little one who can sit for hours with his sketchbook. I hope he will continue with this current passion of his.
That is it for this week. Wishing you all a wonderful T Day

  1. WOW! What an "eye" your son has for details, and his perspective on the Taj Mahal is fantastic! Most 7 year olds don't pick that up. I would rather see a child sit for hours with pen and paper, than in front of some electronic screen.
Thanks for sharing his art with us,
    Happy T-day

  2. You definitely have a budding artist there...your son is talented like his Mother.
His Taj Mahal is fabulous with such great details.
    Your elephants are amazing Susan.
I hope you get a special place where you can leave your artwork out...
having to clear up all the time must interrupt your creative flow...
that said what you create is marvelous!
Happy T Day to you and I will see you again in August

  4. Your son is quite precocious for the age of 7! These drawings are far advanced beyond most 7 year-olds, and I do hope he has some good art teachers in school. It's not too soon to take him to art museums or have him take an art class wherever one is available. He's fortunate that you are an artist who will encourage him...happy T day!

  7. I agree that your son is far advanced art wise for his years. His art could win prizes. He is THAT good, but I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know.

I've heard SO many horror stories of art teachers who want the students to do things a certain way, never allowing then to create on their own, but discouraging them when it's not EXACTLY what the teacher wanted. I hope that never happens with Ashish, and that you can stay on top of his art classes, so he doesn't fall in the cracks of those whose lives were ruined by a bad art teacher.

I love how well balanced his pages are, his perspective, and his genuine attention to detail. I look forward to many more sketches from him. Thanks for sharing his lovely art during T this Tuesday.

  10. I would hate to have to pack up my craft every day, I feel so blessed with my craft area and will never ever complain that it is too small hahaha. I could build a house in my current space

  11. Your son is a talented artist. Black and white sketches are my favorites too so I understand where he is coming from quite well. It is all about the lines.

  13. I would love to have craft space that I don't have to clean up everyday, but since I share my space with the washer and dryer it is unlikely. So we both make the best of what we have. I love your watercolor today of the elephants and trees.

    Your son is certainly talented!

I saw your comment on my post, THANK YOU!! My dad is doing good and has a long road ahead but we will help him. Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming.
I left you a comment there if you can go back and read it and I made a new text only post just now too. I'm at the library using their computer.

Ok, now about this art, WOW WOW WOW WOW!!! Susan, he has a natural talent like you my friend. His art is soooo good and detailed just like you. I LOVE IT!! He should enter these into an art show, bet he would win. So happy you can share this hobby with him as I know you love it too, how special to bond over art with him. Keep sharing these please, they make me smile. Tell him I said he did so good and way better then mine.

Hope you are doing good and enjoying the days. Here it is fall like this week, had jeans and jacket on for two days. Not ready for that at all, hoping we can have more sunny days.
